Burgers Carrosseriebouw from Aalsmeer with service & maintenance branches in Zwaagdijk and Maasbracht has grown in almost a hundred years into a specialist in closed double decks and regular trailer construction within the transport sector at European level and now also far beyond. The flexibility and efficiency of the Double Deck trailers provide a solution to the growing need for more efficient road transport with an eye for the environment and can transport 1.5 times more than in a regular trailer.
In order to continue to meet the growing demand, we are currently looking for: Project Engineer / Technical Draftsman Constructor.
As a Project Lead Engineer / Technical Draftsman Constructor you have several years of experience in drawing and designing industrial components. In your position you have frequent contact with the sales department, suppliers, the purchasing department, work preparation and the production department. In your position you are involved on a daily basis in the implementation, realization and commissioning of your designs, which in most cases are derived from previously delivered models.
The function
You work within a multidisciplinary team on the designs of double decks and regular trailers.
You are involved in all aspects of successfully realizing projects, from the moment the customer has placed an order in consultation with the sales department until the final inspection of the trailers.
You have a feeling for the design of static structures, but also for the (hydraulic) moving parts of the trailers including electrical technical parts including tailgate systems, wiring harnesses, braking systems and more.
In your work, you enjoy maintaining contact with various parts of the internal organization and with suppliers, aiming for greater efficiency through standardization. Preferably you have built up experience in this working method and approach.
Together with the work planner and document control employee, you ensure that all product and order-related data are properly documented for the sales, purchasing, production and service departments.

Job requirements
A well-developed HBO, MBO+ working and thinking level (for example mechanical engineering obtained through training and/or experience supplemented with, for example, knowledge of electrical and control technology);
Well-developed technical insight and several years of relevant work experience. Less experienced candidates with ambition are also eligible for an introduction;
Experience with software packages such as Auto-Cad 3D, 2D or SolidWorks. Familiar with Word, Excel, Autocad, Inventor and MS Project;
Good communication skills and able to think along about customer questions in order to arrive at joint, technical, cost-efficient solutions;
Able to work both in a team and independently; You are used to working on a project basis where you have contact with various colleagues at different levels.
You know how to combine flexibility, creativity and accuracy in your work;
Affinity with electrical engineering is a plus
Good knowledge of the Dutch and English language, spoken and written
Living within a reachable distance of Aalsmeer
